"I always wanted to be a poet, and then I found an old guitar in the attic that had only 2 strings on it, and started to teach myself to play so I could bring my poetry to life."
Gaetana Brown now fronts Little War Twins, whose combination of vocals, guitar and charisma have carried those words to thousands of people across the country.
In February of 2013, Little War Twins took the dive into becoming full time artists and began a 5 month self booked tour across the United States.
Backed up by drummer Patrick "Trick" McConnell, LWT achieves a surprisingly large and dynamic sound - utilizing electronics along with their rock n roll and punk aesthetics.
"Something I've seen eye to eye with Gaetana on from the beginning is the intension behind the band; she once said she wanted to 'inspire others to inspire themselves.' I feel like that is what art and music have done for me, and I want to pay that forward with this group."
Live, on stage and in person is where the band really shines:
"…upbeat and adrenaline-driven, and absolutely pulsating with energy. Brown, particularly, is a tremendous performer, and has a way of effortlessly commanding attention from behind a microphone." - Victor D. Infante, Worcester Telegram
"…each member of LWT is STUNNING at what they do, and when they bring everything together it's nothing short of magical." - KC Hoye, UNRegularRadio.com
Little War Twins has been featured on NECN News Television, and is currently played on WNPR 90.5, UnRegularRadio.com and has performed live on CityWide Blackout, The Boston Local Music Show, and Three Strange Women.
LWT will be continuing touring the Northeast upon their return from the west coast, and plan on recording and releasing new material throughout 2013.
The Little War Twins Name:
Some say they used lightning to save people from their enemies, some say they released the rain, many say that in their travels they saved many people from danger.
Following in their way, May we all be strong in our hearts and in our paths. May we all learn ourselves and our world better.
Through our growth, community, and expression, we all free the Body, Mind and Soul.
